How often does HFD update its database?
Our database is updated daily. HFD surpasses its competitors in recognizing that the challenge of providing a directory database service is not in providing mere contact names. Rather, HFD provides veritable industry solutions by tracking the movement of industry professionals. HFD also maintains an excellent rapport with clients who provide commentary and feedback through HFD live.
How do I report an inaccurate contact or management company?
Inaccurate contacts and management companies can be reported by using the "Report Inaccuracy" link on the details page, also by using our contact/feedback form on the site. These reports are sent directly to our research department and we will investigate the contact and alert the user as soon as a revision has been posted.
Why are all numerical values xxxx'd out in my trial version of the service?
The trial was intended to provide a general sense of the basic functionality and types of information captured by HFD. We do not release specific numerical values because it would compromise our ability to protect our intellectual property rights. HFD welcomes the opportunity to present live web-ex demonstrations and webinars in order to demonstrate full contact details.
How can I test the directory for quality and dependability?
We invite our potential clients to inquire about sample lists for testing purposes. HFD will provide all clients with a complimentary sample list displaying a maximum of 10 targeted companies.
Do your researchers perform consultative research projects for your clients?

Does Hedge Fund Directories buy and trade hedge fund contacts?
Currently no,yet with the launch of HFD Live (Available November 2008) our clients will have increased opportunities to share and amend existing contacts with our research department. HFD Live will allow our users to locate, purchase or trade a greater variety of contacts.
I am unable to Login to my account. How should I proceed?
First, try the 'Forgot Password' link. If the problem persists, you may change your password through 'My Account'. Please feel free to contact HFD at support@hedgefunddirectories.
How can I view all my directories simultaneously without performing a search?
After logging in you will be directed to the "My Account" home screen with all your paid subscriptions listed under member type. By clicking on "View My Directories" you will see all available management companies and contacts simultaneously.
Do I have to pay or enter a credit card before I can use my 30 day free trial?
No. Anytime during the 30 days after registration users can access the trial version by clicking "My Account" and performing a search or using the "View My Directories" link as well.
Are there discounts available to multiple year subscribers?
Yes. Multiple year subscribers can receive up to a 50% discount on packages.
How do I download my directory into excel?
Simply click on "My Account." Paid subscribers will find an export link to the right of the paid directory. Additional lists can also be created by exporting quick and advanced search results using the "Export to Excel" link as seen on our demo page.
How do I change my password?
Go to "My Account" screen and click "Change Password" link
I can't find the management company/contact I am looking for - Why is this? and Can you help with this?
Yes. Quite often, subsidiaries of international management companies are listed differently across international offices. Additionally, new professional contacts are continually added and updated. HFD greatly appreciates the feedback of our users and welcomes the opportunity to research new management companies and contacts in order to meet the needs of our clients.
